Figo – Heavenly Hedgerow – Strawberries in Chocolate

Heavenly Hedgerow is the first collection from a new Figo designer, Jane Carkill. About Jane, Figo says “As an artist, flora and fauna have always been the ultimate inspiration for her work. She has a preference for natural ephemeral beauty and intricate detail, fascinated by the precise style of illustration seen in the 1800’s referenced for scientific accuracy.” I think it shows in this collection.

Note, for scale, the butterflies are just under 2″, the birds just under 3″, and the largest mushroom is just under 5″

Spark – We always have a lot interest in “natural” imagery that people look for when making a quilt for a cottager, hiker, outdoorsy person, or often, a bird lover. This group would be perfect for fussy cutting into another project. Or, use them together with a soft buff solid and make a pretty cottage quilt.
